Just a few quality ingredients go into this dough- artisan whole wheat & rye, water, salt, aged sourdough starter, and a touch of local honey, butter & milk. We also fold in a mix of roasted sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds for a delicious, heart-healthy crunch.
Just before baking, we top each leaf with a thick coating of the seedy blend for an extra nutty, toasty flavor.
In all of our handcrafted sourdoughs, we exclusively use freshly milled wheat flour from North Alabama. To these rustic loaves we also add organic rye flour that's coarse ground right in our own kitchen hours just before baking.
